Nickelodeon Gak is Back! Review and Reader Giveaway

Nickelodeon Gak, a favorite of kids in the 90s, is back!  OK, I admit that I am way too old to remember this from the 90s, but it seemed vaguely familiar when I first heard about it.  If you haven't tried it, it's a pretty freaky substance that can be squished, squeezed, stretched, bounced, and popped!

You can stretch it to see how long and thin you can make it, you can break off pieces to make little balls that bounce super high, you can make funny (and kinda gross) "frrrt" sounds with it, and you can make bubbles.

We received Gak to try in several colors (it's available in blue, green, pink, purple, red and yellow).

While the little guy was excited to break open the package, once it was opened he was a little hesitant to touch it.  He doesn't like "slimy" things (he's a crazy-clean kid) and it took a little prompting for him to get started.  But, once he did we had lots of fun.

Our most exciting thing by far was to blow bubbles!   I first tried making bubbles by just stretching the Gak into a bip circle and folding it over creating a pocket inside.  That was fun for making POP noises.  But, we wanted t BIGGER bubbles.  So, I grabbed a straw from the kitchen and go started.  We had ginormous bubbles!  It was a lot of fun and will make a great go-to toy for rainy days over the summer.
