Bop It! is one of those toys that has already been fun for years and years, but they just keep making it better. Hasbro has just released the newest version - Bop It! XT. In this latest game you're challenged to “Bop it,” “Pull it,” Twist it,” “Flick it,” “Spin it,” and “Shake it” and you have to do all of them as fast as possible! And the more you get right, the faster and faster it goes.

Bop It! XT is versatile in that you can play it all by yourself or in a group - Party Bop - where everyone has to use your their knees, elbows, and hips to win!  In this mode, when you're the one holding the Bop It! XT you follow the commands until the game shouts "pass it" and then you pass it on to the next person.

I have always thought Bop It!  Was a fun game.  It gets you moving a bit while you play it and it's a good mental challenge (not to mention a test of eye-hand coordination!)  With the options of playing solo or with a group it can provide lots of fun in lots of situations.

Angry Birds: Knock On Wood Board Game Review - It's Fun!

My 3-year-old nephew is an Angry Birds addict.  Whenever we can't find him, call his name and he doesn't answer, it is a pretty safe bet that he has sneaked someone's iPhone and is hiding under a table or desk playing the game.  (He has enough sense to turn down the volume first!)

Since we're not crazy about him having a lot of video time, whether it's on the phone, TV or laptop, we were happy to see the Angry Birds: Knock On Wood Game. Based on the video game app, you build structures for the pigs and then use the birds and slingshot to try to knock them down.

To play, you draw a Mission card from one of four categories based on difficulty level - the harder the difficulty, the higher the points. The card has a drawing of the structure to be built, complete with pig placement. The bottom of the card indicates which birds are to be used to try to knock it down. Use the bird launcher to successfully knock down the pigs and you earn the number of points listed on the card. The "freestyle" 4th level Mission cards let you have more creativity by only telling you which pieces to use in the structure, but you can use your imagination to make your own design.

This game is a big hit for us. My nephew loves building the structures and following the instructions is a great learning experience. Getting the hang of the bird launcher was a bit tricky at first, but it comes more easily with practice.  Angry Birds: Knock On Wood Game definitely gets an A+ rating!
