I Went to Lands’ End Night School!

While in NYC recently I had the fabulous opportunity to attend Lands' End Night School. I, along with 100 or so other bloggers, all piled into school buses to get shipped off to school.

We each received a report card and our mission at school was to complete 4 kids courses and 4 adult courses.  If we received an A+ in every course our report card would be marked as a PASS!

For the kid courses we learned about Lands' End products for back-to-school.  We saw a cool demo of the new invisible Iron Knee patch in kids' everyday pants that makes them last longer specifically in the place that usually wears out the most quickly - the knee!  It has gone through lots of testing including 50 washes and professional abrasion testing.

We also learned about backpacks and safety tips including how to determine correct size of backpack based on each kid’s height and weight.

The next part was extra-fun.  We got to play professional stylist by designing a perfect First Day outfit for a boy or girl.  We had lots of fall fashions to choose from, complete with shoes, bags and accessories.  This is my creation.  Please do me a favor and head over to the Lands’ End Facebook page and give it a quick “like” or leave a comment.  THANKS!

Next, we headed to lunchtime, where we watched celebrity chef Sam Talbot prepare easy lunch recipes.  (Although I think many were too busy watching the chef – he’s a hottie- rather than watching the recipes!)  We also got to meet with reps from sponsor Happy Family and find out about their Happy Tot and Happy Munchies for healthy back-to-school snacks.

Next it was time for the Adult courses!  These included getting all dolled up with a new hairdo by stylists from Warren Tricomi, as well as quickie make-up makeovers from Revlon.  Then it was time to check out clothing for grown-ups as we got to try on two of the new Lands’ End dresses for fall and select our favorite style and color.  This is the dress I chose - in case you're wondering, it's the 3/4-sleeve Crepe Jersey Gathered Surplice Dress. I can’t wait to get it in the mail!

I had a great time at Lands' End Night School!  It was a wonderful way to not only have fun with fellow bloggers, but to learn about Lands’ End and get great ideas for back-to-school.

Disclosure: Thanks to MomTrends and Lands' End for inviting me to Night School where I received sample product. Any opinions expressed here are my own.

  7. That sounds like SO much fun! The celebrity was definitely a hottie - and I'm sure I could use a course in backpack safety. What a great time and experience! Thank you for sharing!
