As we head into the end of summer, you might want to spend as much time as possible outdoors, but if you're looking for some fun activities to do with the kids and don't mind heading indoors, then check out this list of free in-store crafts and activities:
- American Girl Store: From in-store crafts and cooking classes to tours that get her out and about, every special event is designed with girls in mind. A different event every weekend. Check site for cities, dates and times.
- Anheuser-Busch “Here’s to the Heroes”: Free admission to SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, or Sesame Place for members of the military and as many as three direct dependents.
- Barnes & Noble Free Events: Search by your zip to see upcoming events in your area.
- Bass Pro Shops Store Events: Select your store to see free events and other activities going on.
- Disney Store: Starting Monday, July 23rd at 2pm, visit the Disney Store for the kickoff of Summer Play Days! In-store events will occur EVERY DAY from July 23rd – August 26th. Attend 4 events and receive a special gift! Visit or call our local Disney Store for specific event times and details!
- Guitar Center: Free recording workshops. Every Saturday at every store from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
- LakeShore Learning Store: Kids get to create a crawly caterpillar. Saturday, August 18th 11 am - 3 pm
- Michaels: Canvas Sketchbook Make-It Take It Events (Ages 14 and up) Saturday, August 18th 1 pm - 3 pm.
- Michaels: Painted Fringe Tshirt Demo (Ages 14 and up) Saturday, August 18th 3 pm - 4 pm
- Michaels: Lap Desk Make-It Take It Event(Ages 3 and up) Sunday, August 19th 1 pm - 3 pm
- Target: Check for free museum events in a city near you (Ongoing dates)
- Walmart: Special in-store events – enter your zip code to see what is going on in your area.
